In Waitress: The Musical (in theaters Dec. 7), Bareilles will reprise her role as Jenna Hunterson, a small-town pie baker with dreams of escaping an abusive marriage by entering a pie-baking contest and using the grand prize money to buy her freedom. But then, an unexpected pregnancy and romance happen, and Jenna gets through it all with the support of her fellow waitresses.
