JOHN TRAVOLTA IS FINALLY A GOOD GUY • After so many delicious roles as bad guys, including his Oscar-nominated performance as a hit man in Pulp Fiction, John Travolta, 69, is on the right side of the law in the action thriller Mob Land (in limited theaters on Aug. 4). Deep in the south, a small-town sheriff (Travolta) struggles to maintain law and order in this story about two men who rob a pill mill—supposedly an easy score until the New Orleans mafia that owns the drug factory sends an enforcer to exact revenge. Following are some fun facts about the New Jersey native.

SIGOURNEY WEAVER • The Alien, Avatar and Ghostbusters star, 73, leaves sci-fi behind for a dramatic turn as June Hart, the grandmother to the title character in The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (August 4 on Prime Video). Based on Holly Ringland’s best-selling debut novel, the seven-part family drama is the story of Alice Hart, a young girl who moves in with her grandmother at Thornfield Flower Farm after her parents die in a mysterious fire. But Thornfield is more than a farm; it’s a refuge for abused women. Alice learns to keep secrets on the farm but finds out that keeping mum about her family’s past may have dire consequences.*
