These two adventures of the irrepressible monkey follow the well-established pattern. George's inquisitiveness gets him into trouble, but his quick thinking turns the impending disaster around. Weston's illustrations are a pale imitation of the originals, and these books owe their popularity to their protagonist--not to the pedestrian text or art. [Review covers these titles: "Curious George Takes a Train" and "Curious George Visits a Toy Store". ]
