Newsday columnist Hugh McGrady found some major discrepancies between the magazine's brief bio and the real story of October 1965 Playboy Playmate Allison Parks. He uncovered facts like her marriage and children. Playboy had depicted her as a girl next door type who worked in her father's Sun Valley, Idaho nursery. During the afternoons she tutored pre-school children with swimming lessons, in a big pool in her father's yard. The reporter had been unable to reach Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner for comment.
