In the mid-1930s Milton Luros was a pulp art illustrator. His work regularly appeared in pulp, western and science fiction publications from the 1930s-1950s. As the pulp market declined, the number of publications publishing Luros'-type illustrations declined. He moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, where he went to work for men's publications, i.e. Adam and Knight Magazines. Eventually, he became involved in publishing more lurid titles. Many dealt with nudism and lesbian sex. By 1965 he was convicted on obscenity charges.
